Prince William's household 'planning the royal wedding'

Washington, Sun, 05 Dec 2010 ANI

Washington, Dec 5 (ANI): Prince William's household is apparently helping the royal and his bride-to-be Kate Middleton plan the royal wedding.

"There is very clear direction from the couple themselves, and it is being very closely looked after by the household." a spokesman told People mag about the ongoing plans for the couple's big day in April.

"Prince William's household is taking a lead on this," he added.

Taking the lead is William's private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, 50. The former Army officer was brought to the Palace by Prince Charles five years ago and has been influential as Princes William and Harry planned their careers in the Armed Forces.

Helen Asprey is also closely involved. As the Princes' personal secretary, she has been organizing their lives for a decade.

The main press spokesman for the engaged Prince and Miss Catherine Middleton, as the Palace calls her, is Miguel Head.

He first came to attention of the Palace when he worked at the Ministry of Defense, where he helped negotiate having a senior member of the royal family in the firing line of frontline service.

Meanwhile, Kate is likely to take advice on big decisions, including dress, from her sister Pippa and mother Carole. (ANI)
