New York, Dec 2 (ANI): Did Sarah Plain persuade her daughter Bristol to participate in the 'Dancing With The Stars' show as a revenge for getting pregnant?
That's what Bristol's former 'DWTS' competitor Margaret Cho has claimed in a blog post this week.
"I heard from someone who really should know (really should seriously know the dirt really really) that the only reason Bristol was on the show was because Sarah Palin forced her to do it," the New York Daily News quoted Cho from the blog post.
"Sarah supposedly blames Bristol harshly and openly (in the circles that I heard it from) for not winning the election, and so she told Bristol she 'owed' it to her to do DWTS so that 'America would fall in love with her again' and make it possible for Sarah Palin to run in 2012 with America behind her all the way," she wrote.
Bristol helped the show achieve record ratings, and defied sceptics to make it to the 'Dancing' finale, where she finished in third place.
Sarah was a vocal advocate for her daughter throughout the competition, regularly tweeting her support for Bristol and partner Mark Ballas and even stopping by the studio to cheer them on.
But Cho said it was all a calculated act - though the show's producers may not have known it.
"Instead of being supposedly 'handicapped' by the presence of her teen mom daughter, now Bristol is going to be an 'asset' - a celebrity beloved for her dancing," she said.
While the comedian said she liked Bristol as a person and supported her dancing, she does not 'agree with the family's politics at all'.
Though Cho did not seem afraid to unleash this rumour about the Palins, she appeared to fear the ramifications of upsetting the Mama Grizzly herself.
"Now I am scared I am going to wake up with a decapitated moose head in my bed," she wrote. (ANI)
