Washington, Nov 12 (ANI): The author of e-book 'The Paedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure' has said that he is confident online retail giant Amazon will sell his book once again after it was removed following calls for a boycott.
Phillip Greaves, 47, a retired nurse's aide in Pueblo, Colo., revealed that nearly 300 copies of his 4.79 dollars self-published e-book had been sold on Amazon.com's Kindle Store before it disappeared from the site.e also said that he does not promote paedophilia, but that it "is something he has sympathy for" as he had been exposed to sex when he was 7-years-old.
"I was not molested, but I was exposed to sex at an early age ... Sometimes those relationships are positive. No, I do not advocate paedophilia. I just feel that I understand it," Fox News quoted him as saying.
He said he was "very impressed" that Amazon initially stood by its decision to sell the title, and he is now waiting for it to be reviewed by the online retailer.
Pueblo Police Chief James Billings said that his department will conduct a "cursory review" of Greaves' material.
"We have no indication that a crime has been committed," Billings said.
"But we are looking at the situation to have a better understanding of what this book is all about and to see if there's something we should be concerned about," he added. (ANI)
