Musharraf aide seeks FIR against Bugti over 'billion rupee bounty on his head' bid

Islamabad , Tue, 26 Oct 2010 ANI

Islamabad, Oct 26 (ANI): Dr Sher Afgan Niazi, a noted leader of the former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's newly formed party All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), has filed an application to register an FIR under Section 7 or the ATA against three people, including Jamhoori Watan Party President Talal Bugti, for announcing a bounty on Musharraf's head.

However, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) has instructed the relevant police station to send Niazi's application for legal opinion, the Daily Times reported.

Earlier this month, Bugti had announced a one-billion-rupee 'head money' and a hundred acres of farmland bounty on Musharraf for his alleged crimes against humanity.

Musharraf was involved in heinous and unpardonable crimes against the state and society, such as dismissing an elected government and dissolving parliament, killing Akbar Bugti along with 70 others, the Lal Masjid incident and other crimes, he claimed.

Bugti demanded Musharraf's name be sent to Interpol to bring him back to Pakistan, as the former military ruler, according to him, posed a security threat and had undermined the sovereignty and integrity of the country.

He also urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to issue an arrest warrant against the 67-year-old to bring him to justice. (ANI)
