Missing Indian millionaire's brothers to seek higher authority over Malaysian police's foul play

Kuala Lumpur , Fri, 01 Oct 2010 ANI

Kuala Lumpur, Oct 1(ANI): The brothers of missing Indian millionaire A. Muthuraja have said that would seek the assistance of higher international authorities to record their dissatisfaction with the Malaysian police.

"We are also looking at the possibility of seeking the assistance of the World Court, but we will consult the Indian High Commission here first," The Star quoted Sudan-based businessman Vijay Subramaniam, as saying.

Vijay said that his family suspected foul in the investigation of the Malaysian police when his younger brother Kasi Viswanathan's complaint was lodged as a commercial crimes complaint in March this year.

Thirty-seven-year-old Muthuraja went missing after coming to Malaysia on January 18 to meet the two lawyer brothers implicated in the murders of cosmetics millionaire Sosilawati Lawiya and three others.

Earlier, Muthuraja's brothers complained that the family was taken for a ride by some unscrupulous people who took over RM80,000 for tracing his whereabouts, but in reality did nothing about it.

Dr Kasi later lodged a police report at the Klang district police headquarters on March 29. However, police sent the case to the Commercial Crime Department because the report mentioned that the family was cheated into paying for Muthuraja's release.

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Hussin Ismail, however, had said that the March 29 police report was for a cheating case, and therefore, at that time, it was investigated by the Commercial Crime Department. (ANI)
