Wana (Pakistan), Sep 27(ANI): Pakistani tribesmen have been taking the help of sedatives to deal with the ear ripping explosions caused by rapidly increasing US drone attacks in the region.
Dr. Faizur Rehman Burki, a local physician, said that the drone strikes have not only panicked people, but also catalyzed uncertainty because of which people were now using sedatives.
"Usage of tranquilizers has been increased," Xinhua news agency quoted Dr. Burki, as saying.
A fresh wave of intensified strikes has claimed the lives of over 130 suspected militants and civilians this month.
"I am not scared, but haunted by the uncertainty that anything can happen anytime to my home and the loved ones," said Naseemullah, a native of Wana.
According to official reports, some 1,753 people have been killed in 167 drone strikes since the first unmanned missile killed five people in 2004. (ANI)
