London, Sep 16 (ANI): A Michigan couple is citing unsportsman like conduct after their six-year old daughter Kennedy was unanimously voted off of the Madison Heights Wolverines flag football cheerleading team over their complaint that one of the team's chants was too risqué.
Jennifer and Duane Tesch said their six-year-old daughter Kennedy was unanimously voted off of the Madison Heights Wolverines flag football cheerleading team during a team meeting on Tuesday night, Fox News reports.he meeting was called to discuss concerns the Tesches raised last month regarding one of the team's cheers.
The Teschs instead of seeing their concerns resolved saw their daughter removed from the team.
"I can't believe their solution to this was to remove my daughter from the team. She's going to be devastated. She's going to be crying," said Jennifer Tesch.
The Teschs said their daughter doesn't even know that she is out of the squad for she was asleep, when they returned from the meeting.
"She's been sick today, so we haven't had a chance to tell her. This meeting was supposed to be about keeping this cheer or not, and all of a sudden it turned into getting rid of us," said Duane Tesch.
"The parent of another cheerleader suggested that Kennedy be removed from the team while the matter was being resolved, and another parent seconded the motion. Kennedy was then voted off the team," he added.
The Tesches further said they were informed that they would receive a refund for the $125 team uniform and that their daughter would be allowed to try out again next year. (ANI)
