Lahore, Sept 2 (ANI): The Netherlands will host a charity hockey match on September 14 to raise funds for Pakistan flood victims. This match will be played between Pakistan and Holland. The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has extended its full support to the event.

FIH president Leandro Negre has sent a written appeal to all other 125 national associations to donate for the flood victims. "I hope the global hockey community will respond to the tragedies in Pakistan," the FIH president Negre said in statement, the Daily Times reports.

KNHB director Johan Wakkie said in a statement. "History proves that the Netherlands have a special link with Pakistan hockey players,"

Netherlands observed August 26 as a fund-raising day when the Dutch Hockey Captain Teun de Nooijer also took part in publicity for the charity match .
