London, Aug.23 (ANI): The Lockerbie bomber -- Abdelbaset Al Megrahi Megrahi-has claimed that Britain killed him in prison a million times.reaking his silence on the first anniversary of his release, the 58-year-old cancer sufferer said those who effectively wanted him dead disgusted him.
'They want to quicken my death. Is it up to me?' the Daily Mail quoted Al Megrahi Megrahi as telling journalists in his home city of Tripoli.
He added: 'They killed me in prison a million times, denied as I was from seeing my children and family. So what more do they want from me?'
It came as a senior Libyan official confirmed that Megrahi was 'in good condition' - despite being given just three months to live when he was released on compassionate grounds last summer.
As the Daily Mail revealed last week, he is back having chemotherapy sessions to treat prostate cancer, with his family hoping a ' miracle' cure is possible.
However, he is also 'having a tough time mentally' and experiences 'black moods', believing that he is a scapegoat.
Megrahi denies having anything to do with the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 in 1988 in which 270 died.
He began his second year of freedom talking to friends in Scotland and watching British TV. (ANI)
