London, Tue, 17 Aug 2010 ANI

London, Aug 17 (ANI): Russian business tycoon and devout orthodox believer Vasily Boiko-Veliki, also referred as Vasily Boiko-The Great, has stirred a controversy by asking his employees, who might staying with an unmarried boyfriend or girlfriend, to stop "living in sin" and get married in church within two months, or be fired.

Boiko also wrote to his 6,500 employees, banning any of them or their wives from getting abortions, and added that he does not want to work with "murderers."

"Abortion is the murder of someone. We do not want to work with murderers," The Telegraph quoted him, as saying.

The farming tycoon said he was forced to resort to extreme measures after an unprecedented drought and thousands of wild fires struck Russia this summer.

"Such an extreme situation is punishment for the Russian people's sins, I need to take extreme measures including looking at the way my employees treat God," he added. (ANI)
