Kuala Lumpur, July 18 (ANI): One of Malaysia's most wanted terror suspects, Mohamad Fadzullah Abbul Razak, who is allegedly involved in recruiting university students for Jemaah Islamiah (JI), has been detained under the Internal Security Act.

According to The Star, he had allegedly been recruiting undergraduates from UTM, where he himself graduated from, as well as other institutions of higher learning into JI and had even sent several of them to participate in "holy wars."

The Special Task Force (Operations and Counter Terrorism) Department arrested the 28-year-old engineer on July 15, 2010 at a house in Keramat when he just returned from Thailand. The task force had been hunting him since 2007.

The report states that the Task Force's director, Commissioner Datuk Mohamed Fuzi Harun, confirmed the arrest but declined to elaborate.

Intelligence reports have shown that one of his recruits was a mere 17-year-old student. (ANI)
