Karachi, July 7(ANI): The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that the recent terrorist attacks were not a reaction to the drone attacks in the country.
Hussain also said that the terrorists who attacked the shrine of Data Ganj Bakhsh were not worthy of being called humans.
He said although the MQM had always been against the drone attacks, the killing of innocent people at mosques, imambargahs and marketplaces was definitely unrelated to them, The Daily Times reports.
Hussain also appealed to the youth to form committees for the security of mosques, imambargahs and shrines.
On the night of July 1, three suicide bombers detonated their explosives as crowds of devotees were gathered at the shrine of the saint. The blasts killed at least 43 people and injured 175.
According to statistics, over 900 people have been killed in nearly 200 missile attacks in the troubled northwest tribal areas of Pakistan since 2008. (ANI)
