Kuala Lumpur, July 6 (ANI): A Malaysian court has sentenced a lorry driver to 40 years in jail after he admitted to raping and performing oral sex on his two underage daughters in a case which has chilling echoes of Australian rapist Joseph Fritzl.
The 39-year-old was accused of raping and performing oral sex on his 14-year-old daughter at their house in Sungai Mati on Jan 3, and on his 12-year-old daughter in a shed in Jalan Pulau Penarik on Feb 7.
Judge Kamarudin Kamsun sentenced the man to 20 years in jail for raping his daughters, and awarded him another 15-year prison term for performing oral sex on the girls. The court also decreed that the man be given 34 strokes of the rotan.
"This is merely a punishment you have to endure in this world. You still have to face God in the afterlife," New Strait Times quoted Kamarudin, as telling the accused.
He added: "I hope this will be a lesson for you and at the same time, serve as a reminder to others." (ANI)
