London, July 3 (ANI): Germany's First Lady Bettina Wulff has caught the nation's eye with her towering height, striking looks, glamorous outfits, and the large tattoo she sports on her right shoulder.
Bettina, 36, a communications manager, had met her husband Christian Wulff, 51, on a business trip, and she had become the media's favourite even before he was sworn in as Germany's youngest post-war President.
The German media has compared her to France's First Lady Carla Bruni and America's First Lady Michelle Obama, as being young, dynamic and independent.
"Will Bettina Wulff become Germany's Michelle Obama?" the Scotsman quoted Bunte, a celebrity magazine, as asking about Germany's first lady.
She is expected to instil a sense of style with her colourful personality, and the German newspapers have been applauding the new president on his choice.
"Picking her was the best decision Wulff ever made. Germany will have a first lady whose picture soldiers will love pinning up in their lockers," the Die Zeit newspaper wrote.
The distinctly conservative broadsheet Die Welt added: "A first lady to test the boundaries. She is tattooed and loves the spotlight." (ANI)
