Kuala Lumpur, July 2 (ANI): THE Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) is investigating a Tamil newspaper report that a Tamil primary school was holding sex education classes in Gemas and Johor in Malaysia.

According to the Star, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department T. Murugiah has said that Johor PCB is carrying out the probe together with the state Education Department.

"If the report was true, he would write to the education minister for action to be taken against those involved," the paper quoted Murugiah, as saying.

"Parents were upset when they learned that their children were taught sex education at a tender age," he added.

He called on Indian teachers in secondary schools to adopt Indian students, in an effort to curtail social ills, truancy and gangsterism, adding that problems among students started when they were in secondary school. (ANI)
