Melbourne, June 24 (ANI): A group of Christchurch students have bagged an award for living in New Zealand's dirtiest house.
The Canterbury University students - Jarred Turnbull, Tahi Poasa, Hamish Catherwood, James Lentjes, Geert Lepoutre and Adam Lill - won a national radio contest dubbed, 'Smells Kitchen,' to find the dirtiest living conditions in the country.
The six men from the South Island moved in to the residence eight months ago.
Turnbull boasted of a hole in his bedroom roof that leaked, destroying his laptop and disabling the lights, according to The Press.
"We didn't think we were that bad, we've got a real good cooking roster... we usually do the dishes but the other cleaning, we don't do it," the Courier Mail quoted Lepoutre as saying.
Lepoutre even admitted that it wasn't a win that their mums were proud of, but hoped the title would encourage someone to tidy the place up.
"If we can find some girls to clean it up, that would be ideal," he added. (ANI)
