Lahore, June 15(ANI): Two female Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders, Sajida Mir and Fauzia Behram, were involved in an embarrassing 'catfight' before a pre-budget parliamentary party meeting in the Punjab Assembly's committee room.
According to reports, the scuffle started when Fauzia raised an issue of 'true party workers' among parliamentarians and declared that some party members had a 'low' status.
In response, Sajida, who was standing near to Fauzia, told her to not say such things, after which the two exchanged harsh words.
After exchanging some harsh words, Fauzia slapped Sajida, who then pushed the other to the ground, The Daily Times reports.
Sajida also threw a flower pot towards Fauzia, but it hit an employee of the Punjab Assembly security staff.
Several other lawmakers held the two apart until they both calmed down.
Sajjida, however, alleged that Fauzia slapped her when she was sitting with other Members of Provincial Assembly, and used abusive language against her. (ANI)
