Lahore, Mar. 8 (ANI): Former Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan has claimed that he is "fighting a war to change the political system" of the country.
Addressing an election rally in NA-123 constituency of Lahore, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief said the purpose of his struggle was not merely to change faces of politicians, but also to transform the system.
The Daily Times quoted the Tehreek-e-Insaf chief as saying that while people have watched the flogging of small time thieves on TV, "I myself would flog the big crooks when elected to power".
He assured the people of the constituency that PTI would solve all their problems if it won the by-elections.
He criticised the incumbent Pakistan Government for allowing the US to interfere in the country's matters and said the masses demand that the government protect the country's sovereignty and withdraw from the war against terror. (ANI)
