London, March 8 (ANI): Hundreds of visitors were said to have flocked the man's home showcasing an image of the Virgin Mary that has allegedly been weeping tears of oil in France.
More than 50 visitors have been flooding Esat Altindagoglu's house in Garges-les-Gonesse, near Paris, daily to witness the "miracle".
The Turkish-born salesman claimed the one-foot high painting, gifted to his wife Sevin by a Lebanese priest in 2006, began shedding tears of oil on February 12 this year, and had been "crying" every day since.
"As word spread, people started arriving from France, then from all over Europe. I've been having between 50 and 60 people a day turning up for more than three weeks now," the Telegraph quoted him as saying.
Altindagoglu added: "Apparently the next step is to have to weeping witnessed by a bishop so the miracle can be officially recognised by the church." (ANI)
