London, Mar 7 (ANI): Fourteen undergraduate students at Oxford University have been suspended over a sexist email.
The group of male students, who are members of the notorious Penguin drinking club at Hertford college, had made a list of potential dates.
However, an unknown whistleblower circulated their emails around college.
It contained derogatory comments on female freshers, apart from posters revealing the club's humiliating rituals.
It included forcing students to perform a naked streak, while smeared in goose fat and eating raw squid.
"The students have been temporarily suspended as part of that process but that is not to say that it is a punishment or a judgement against them at this stage," Sky News quoted a university spokesman as saying.
The rep added: "It's part of the process of the investigation. We are still trying to get to the bottom of it all."
Apparently, some of the students who have been suspended are in their final year of study.
Members of the Penguin club, known for their bad behavior, can be identified with their maroon ties and gold penguin logos.
According to the student newspaper The Cherwell, the group was formed last year. (ANI)
