London, Feb.17 (ANI): Pakistan may be facing number of issues, which are even threatening its very existence, but former President General Pervez Musharraf, who many believe is much to blame for the present chaos, is having a ball in London.

Musharraf, who is currently living here on a self-imposed exile, is spending some exquisite time in the British capital.

Protected by top Scotland Yard officers and his own team of security guards the autocratic ruler is enjoying every moment in the city spending a lot of time on eating out at high-class eateries, shopping at Harrods, holding court with his fans from Pakistani communities, The News reports.

While Pakistan is witnessing yet another tussle between the executive and the judiciary following President Asif Ali Zardari's notification of elevating the Lahore High Court Chief Justice as a Supreme Court judge, Musharraf, who himself had ignited a similar turmoil by sacking 60 judges of higher judiciary in 2007, seems hardly concerned.

A key member of Musharraf's 'London cabinet' said that the retired general is in high spirits because the political squabbling and judicial tussle in Pakistan.

The member, who spoke on conditions of anonymity, said Musharraf is actually taking pleasure in the present scuffle between the two institutions, which has exposing the reality of the government and the friendly opposition to Pakistanis.

Musharraf's official spokesperson, Barrister Saif said the former President is overwhelmed by the number of invitations he has received from Pakistani living abroad.

Saif , who is busy organising support for Musharraf to launch his own political party, said people are realising that Musharraf was not that bad a person.

"After all, people are getting to realize now that Musharraf was not as bad a person as portrayed in the media. People are able to see the other side of the coin now and it's all good for Musharraf," he said.

Musharraf is busy in London's social circuit delivering think-tank lectures and community meetings these days. (ANI)
