London, February 13 (ANI): British Prime Minister Gordon Brown let out a glimpse of his personal life, describing his marital bliss 'a modern love story'.
The 58-year-old Labour Party leader professed his love for wife Sarah Macaulay whom he married in a private ceremony at his home in North Queensferry, Fife, in 2000.
"I've got a wonderful family. Sarah and I, we're, we're a modern love story. We have been very fortunate. She is beautiful, she's elegant, she's compassionate, she's dignified, I'm very, very proud of her," The Telegraph quoted him as telling Piers Morgan during an interview.
"And we've had to go through quite a few difficulties. And therefore to come through that and to be even stronger, I mean it's my admiration for her, my love for her just grows and grows every day. We, I feel very fortunate indeed," he added.
The couple faced the tragic 2002 death of their prematurely-born daughter Jennifer Jane. (ANI)
