Kathmandu, Feb 9 (ANI): Nepal Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala today said the police personnel should also be included in the i9nvestigation in the case involve the murder of media entrepreneur Jamim Shah.
Sujata Koirala who reached Shah's residence at Panipokhari this morning to meet the bereaved family said the peace and security in the capital is critical and mentioned that the role of the police officers should also be investigated concerning Shah Murder.
On Monday, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal had also visited the family of slain media entrepreneur and assured that the government would bring his assailants to book.
Meanwhile, the Federation of Nepalese Journalist (FNJ) is also staging demonstration here against Shah's murder.
A statement issued by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has urged the government to improve the security situation and guarantee people's right to live in peace.
The NHRC said people are living in fear and terror and added that the commission is regularly monitoring the incidents of abduction and murder across the country.
Shah (47), who owned Channel Nepal, a television channel and Space Time Network, a cable television company, was shot dead by two motorcycle borne assailants in the busy Lazimpat area of Kathmandu.
A Nepali citizen with Kashmiri origin, Shah had been accused of having links to India's most sought after criminal Dawood Ibrahim - a charge he had denied. (ANI)
