London, Jan 16 (ANI): A British ticket holder has won 26.1 million pounds in the EuroMillions draw conducted on January 15.
The winning ticket has the numbers 11, 26, 29, 49, and 50 and is the third largest jackpot ever won in Britain.
"It is fantastic to have another EuroMillions winner here in the UK," the Telegraph quoted a National Lottery spokeswoman as saying.
"We have plenty of champagne on ice and look forward to welcoming the ticket holder into our millionaires club.
"Over 2,350 people have become a millionaire across the 15 years of The National Lottery and players have to date raised a massive 23 billion pounds for good causes," she added.
The second-largest prize scooped by a British winner was 35.4 million pounds won by Angela Kelly, of Glasgow, in August 2007.
The winning EuroMillions Lucky Star numbers were 04 and 07.
The win comes after Les and Sam Scadding from South Wales and a syndicate from Liverpool each took home £45.5 million jackpots in November last year.
It was the biggest ever jackpot claimed by British ticket holders. (ANI)
