Lahore, Jan. 13 (ANI): Pakistan's Minister of State for Interior, Tasneem Qureshi, has said that the PPP-led government wants to end the war on terror at the earliest, as militancy has hampered the country's progress.
The Daily Times quoted Qureshi as saying it was wrong to allege that Pakistanis were crossing the border into Afghanistan to fight the US-led forces.
He, however, stressed that the US drone attacks should be stopped immediately.
Qureshi said that the government had asked Washington to transfer drone technology to Islamabad so that it could deal with terrorists itself.
He also said that American private security agency Blackwater was not present in Pakistan and the authorities should check all foreigners, including Americans.
He added that coordination was being improved among various security agencies to improve efficiency. (ANI)
