Washington, January 11 (ANI): Sarah Palin has blasted allegations made in the book 'Game Change' about the 2008 United States presidential election.
CBS broadcast an interview with political journalists and authors of the book Mark Halperin and John Heilemann and John McCain's top campaign strategist Steve Schmidt who accused Palin of being dishonest and inaccurate on the show "60 minutes".
Schmidt criticised the former Alaska Governor, alleging her far from truth statements as the vice-presidential nominee affected the campaign and her own public image, reports the Politico.
Schmidt said a campaign aide preparing Palin for the debate with Joe Biden "told us the debate was going to be a debacle of historic and epic proportions."
"She was not focused ... not engaged," Schmidt told correspondent Anderson Cooper. "She was not really participating in the prep." Schmidt confronted Palin and, he said, "She said, 'You know, I think that's right.'"
Palin, on the other hand, has slammed the account of her campaign in the tome.
Her spokeswoman, Meghan Stapleton, said in a statement: "The Governor's descriptions of these events are found in her book, 'Going Rogue.' Her descriptions are accurate. She was there.
These reporters were not." (ANI)
