Islamabad, Nov 28 (ANI): Pakistani goldsmiths have created what they claim to be the world's biggest ring.
The goldsmiths from Suha Bazaar in Lahore have made the 50 x 57 inches 'The Global Peace Ring'.
"Seven goldsmiths toiled for 577 days to create 50 x 57 inches 'The Global Peace Ring', weighing 74 kilograms," Dawn.com quoted Amin Saleem as saying at a news conference at the Lahore Press Club.
"The ring bears flags of 120 countries and its prominent white colour is a symbol of peace. It has a 4.650 gram crystal, while 80 per cent of the ring's mass has been prepared manually by Salahuddin Saleem, Faisal Ashfaq, Qamar Siddiq, Waseem Muhammad Ali, Imran Saleem and Kaleem Saleem," he added.
He asked for the feat to be enlisted in the Guinness Book of World Record as it had become the biggest ring made so far.
Earlier, a Saudi Arabia company had made the world's biggest ring, which weighed 64 kilograms, he said. (ANI)
