Sarah Palin's book selling like hot cakes

Washington, Nov 21 (ANI): Sarah Palin's book "Going Rogue" is selling like hot cakes with a bookseller even claiming to have sold over 2000 of his stock of 3000 copies after the former Alaska governor left his store following a book signing event.

According to publisher HarperCollins, 300,000 of the 1.5 million copies printed sold out on the first day of sale itself.

Palin, who has undertaken a book tour to promote her tome, signs copies for exactly 1,000 people before heading to the next bookstore.

Friday saw Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Cincinnati sell 2,000 copies even as an hour was left in Palin's book signing session.

Ben Vore, the manager of the bookstore, said they were "selling much more than usual" during the time Palin signed books there.

Patrick Meab, the manager of the Meijer's grocery store, said his store sold 2,200 of the 3000 copies they had ordered by the time Palin had left. For three hours when she was in the store, Meijer's sold 1,200 books.

"The event was awesome...I have not seen anyone else move merchandise like that," the Politico quoted Meab, as saying. (ANI)
