Melbourne, Nov 18 (ANI): Jaycee Dugard, the alleged rape and kidnap victim who was reportedly held in the backyard of a man's home for 18 years, has called a plan to make a movie about her life 'exploitive, hurtful and breathtakingly unkind.'
In a statement, family spokeswoman Nancy Seltzer said that only Dugard and her family should decide when and if a film is to be made based on Jaycee's life, reports the Daily Telegraph.
The statement came after low-budget movie director Shane Ryan announced that he expected to start production next month on 'Abducted Girl, An American Sex Slave'.
Ryan told Sacramento television station KCRA that the focus of the film would on the relationship between Dugard and Phillip Garido, the man charged with abducting, raping and holding her captive in his backyard.
Ryan has directed movies such as 'Amateur Porn Star Killer' and 'Romance Road Killers'. (ANI)
