Rawalpindi, Oct.28 (ANI): The Lahore High Court's Rawalpindi bench has directed the Anti-Terrorism Court to frame charges against all the seven Mumbai attack suspects, who are currently locked in the Adiala jail.
Hearing a petition filed by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, the division bench asked the Anti-Terrorism Court-I (ATC-1) judge Malik Muhammad Akram Awan to frame charges against all the accused, The Daily Times reports.
Lakhvi, in his petition, urged the court to discontinue the hearing of the cases filed against him and the seven other militants.
While Lakhvi is accused of masterminding the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, others, including LeT's communications expert Zarar Shah, Abu al-Qama, Hamad Amin Sadiq and Shahid Jamil Riaz have been charged for facilitating and managing funds and locating hideouts for the attackers in Rawalpindi.
