Woman rescues newborn from a drain in Chennai
Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Aug 19 (ANI): A 45-year-old woman in Chennai’s Valasaravakkam rescued an infant baby from a drain on August 15. A milkman had raised concern over the cries of a baby from a nearby drain, when the lady bent down and found the infant. When she dragged the child out, it was choking because of its umbilical cord rolled around its neck. The lady unwrapped the cord and provided immediate first aid. The child is kept in the Institute of Child Health (IGH) where he is getting treatment.
