Uttarakhand cloudburst: Over 10 killed, houses washed away
New Delhi/Uttarakhand, July 01 (ANI): Heavy rains triggered cloudbursts in several districts of Uttarakhand, killing many people and washing away houses on Friday. Chamoli and Pithoragarh are said to be the worst-affected areas with almost 10 to 12 people are expected to have lost their lives. Giving details, National Disaster Response Force’s (NDRF) Director General OP Singh said four teams had already been assigned for the rescue and relief operations, adding that road blockage is the biggest problem being faced by the soldiers. Singh further confirmed that many people are expected to be stuck inside their homes due to landslide.
