Semiya / Vermicelli Kesari Receipe
ingredients:
Ghee - 1 + 2 + 2 = 5 tsp
Vermicelli / Semiya - 1 cup
Water - 2-1/2 cups
Food color - 1 pinch
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Few roasted cashewnuts & raisins
Method:
1. Heat 1 tsp ghee and roast the vermicelli / semiya till its golden brown. Keep it aside
2. Boil water and then add the roasted vermicelli
3. Reduce the flame and close till its half cooked
4. Now add a pinch of food color. Mix and then close till its soft
5. Add cardamom powder and sugar. Put the flame to medium and add 2 tsp ghee and roasted cashew & raisins.
6. cook for a minute and add 2 more tsp of ghee
7. When the sugar syrup start to turn thick, put off the flame and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes before serving it.
