Punjab Govt assures speedy probe of battered African student
Jalandhar/ New Delhi, July 07 (ANI): Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has assured a speedy probe into the case of a 24 year old African national Yannick Nihangaza who is battling for life at Columbia Asia Hospital in Patiala. Earlier, Nihangaza's father Nestor has knocked at the doors of the state government for financial aid. Meanwhile, Jalandhar Police Commissioner Gaurav Yadav briefed mediapersons upon the development so far in the case of beating up of the student who hails from Burundi. The Ambassador of Burundi to India, Rubuka Aloys who met officials at the External Affairs Ministry in New Delhi informed that he has been assured complete assistance by the Indian government.
