Politicos react after BJP opposes UP govt's decision to again give compensation to Hashimpura victim
New Delhi/ Lucknow, May 22 (ANI): Political leaders on Friday react after Uttar Pradesh BJP President Laxmikant Bajpai said that the state government's decision to pay compensation to the family members of Hashimpura victims was aimed to appease a particular section of the society. BJP leader Vijay Bahadur Pathak also said that the UP government's move is to politicize the issue. The family members of the Hashimpura victims met Samajwadi party national president Mulayam Singh Yadav two days back and later State Government announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to each family. Reacting on the same, Congress leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi said that the step to compensate the victims is very positive and welcomed the same. Meanwhile, JD (U) also supported the state government and said that any compensation for the victims is not enough.
