PDP Sarpanch shot dead in Kashmir
Jammu & Kashmir, April 18 (ANI): Suspected militants shot dead PDP Sarpanch Mohammad Amin Pandit outside his residence at Gulzarpora in Awantipore police district of Kashmir. At least four suspected militants barged into Pandit’s house at around 9:30 pm and shot him from point-blank range a few meters away from his residence. The Sarpanch’s body was taken to the district hospital for investigation following which it was returned to the family for his last rites. Meanwhile, PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti indirectly hinted at involvement of National Conference President Farooq Abdullah behind the attack.
