Mumbai police detain 14 girls in bar raid
Mumbai, July 07 (ANI): In a bid to combat illegal prostitution in Mumbai police raided a bar serving liquor illegally, and detained around 14 girls, alleged to be a part of immoral trafficking, along with bar employees. S A Chauhan, the investigating officer of social service branch said that during the raid they detained 14 girls, 28 customers, a waiter, cashier and the bar manager. The Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA) is meant to combat trafficking of females as well as prostitution in the city.
