ISRO working on satellite for SAARC countries

Sriharikota, March 29 (ANI): Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman, Alur Seelin Kiran Kumar, said that they were working with South Asia Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) to set up a dedicated satellite for them as mooted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Aiming to play a key role in the development of South Asia, Modi pledged to develop a SAARC satellite dedicated "to our neighbourhood as a gift from India". Modi had made the suggestion last year during the launch of PSLV-C23. So far, India has launched 40 satellites for 19 countries, many of them advanced nations.
