Education institutions reopen in Manipur two months after govt orders shutdown
Imphal, Sep 05 (ANI): Education institutions in Manipur reopened, two months after the state government ordered them to shut down following death of a student in an agitation against police over the implementation of inner line permit (ILP). ILP is a travel document that restricts the entry and stay of people from outside the state without permission. School students in Imphal attended their respective schools accompanied by their parents. Principal of Tamphasana Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Laishram Biren Singh, remained doubtful about the completion of the course. The state government had asked all schools and colleges to be closed indefinitely after a class 11 student, Sapam Robinhood, succumbed to his injuries during a mass agitation demanding ILP in July this year.
