Chinese Premier seeks India's trust after the 'Himalayan stand-off'

New Delhi, May 21 (ANI): Chinese Premier, Li Keqiang assured on Tuesday that India and China would study new ways to ease tensions on their ill-defined border after the recent military standoff in the Himalayas. Keqiang, while addressing a gathering of Indian scholars, students and industrialists, said that the two nations could become a new engine for the global economy if they could avoid friction on the militarized border. Keqiang pledged on Tuesday to open up domestic markets to Indian businesses and narrow the trade deficit between the two countries. He also supported India's demand for a larger role in the UN Security Council.
