Achari Murgh (Chicken)
Ingredients
Oil
Onion - 3 nos chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
Chicken - 1 kg
Rock Salt
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chili powder - 2 Tbsp
Grated Tomato - 2 nos
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Kalonji/Onion seeds - 1 tsp
Yogurt/Curd - 1 cup
Ginger julienne
Chaat masala - 2 tsp
Water
Slit the Green chili
Few Coriander leaves
Method:
1. Take a wide pan add oil and onion.
2. Add ginger garlic paste when onion turns light brown. Saute it well.
3. Add chicken and saute for 5 to 6 minutes.
4. Add rock salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder and mix it together.
5. Add grated tomato and close the pan, let it cook for 5 minutes.
6. Add fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, fennel seeds, kalonji seeds ( onion seeds ) mix all together and close it for another 5 minutes.
7. After 5 minutes add fresh yogurt. Close the lid and let it cook for 15 minutes in a medium flame.
8. Add ginger julienne, green chilly ( stuffed with chat masala ) and coriander leaves. Again close it and cook for 20 minutes.
9. Delicious Achari Murgh is ready to serve with chapati, roti or rice.
