AFSPA withdrawal from Tripura will have positive impact on other North Eastern states: Kiren Rijiju
New Delhi, May 28 (ANI): Welcoming the withdrawal of AFSPA from Tripura, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju on Thursday said that it will have positive impact on other states of North Eastern region. The Tripura government has revoked the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) as insurgency is on the wane in the State. Chief Minister Manik Sarkar announced the decision after a meeting with his Council of Ministers.
