Zakir Hussain is one of the greatest educational and social thinkers in Modern India who is behind the establishment of many more educational institutes providing good quality education to the students. Hussain born in 1897 of a good educated and civilized family and could come to know from his early childhood, the function of knowledge and role of education in human life. He was educated in now called Aligarh Muslim University and went to Germany to have higher degree in Economics. Hussain in the very early age of twenty-three took a major role in the educational revolution of India and laid the foundation of Jamia Millia Islamia for the special benefits of the Indian Muslims in education. Through out many critical as well as soft phases of life Hussain came across in brining out a growing educational process in educational institutes. He was placed as the Vice-chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University then and was elected to Rajya Sabha thus leading to be the Governor of the Indian state of Bihar. Zakir Hussain stood an eminent personality in Indian scenario just after it got independence. In 1967 he was placed in the seat of first citizen of India for the outstanding contribution Hussain made to Indian life and philosophy and its ideology for which he became the recipient of Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award of India. He is the first president of India to face eternal sleep in office in 1969.
