Born in 1921 in the Madras presidency and brought up in a wealthy Telugu Brahmin family Narasimha Rao has been one of the major political leader and prime minister of the nation. He was the 12th head of India with the inner desire to take this country to the forefront of all types of development. Mr. Rao was a great erudite scholar being spent his educational life in Mumbai with the knowledge of many aspects of study. Rao was a multilingual with knowledge of more than 13 languages in the world, which helped him more to gain a special position in Indian politics and occupy his seat in it. 1991 provided a better opportunity to Narasimha rao to be the prime minister being the leader of all the minority parties. Rao appointed Manmohan Singh as finance minister in his cabinet who spearheaded the economic reforms of Narasimha rao government thus bringing a new dawn to the country. Rao also executed his power in giving the country all types of peace and prosperity for its development. Though rao had role in Independence movement of India, still his role in the economic, financial and political reforms will always be obtrusive to the Indians. Though the name of Narasimha Rao is involved in various corruption charges still his name in the economic reform of India will always recall to the Indians his role and contribution to this country.
