i have completed 12th cbse exam with 78% mark. how can i join isro other than through isat.because i have not qualified into isat entrance.

Those who got rank in iitjee have to register with iist.Already registrations started. visit IIST site. It is free education with all facilities but you have to serve in ISRO for 5 years for govt salarly.

Its very pleasent to see this statement . personally telling i am feeling proud to see this course in India , it is not only going to make the students bright but at the same time it is going to make India proud by giving the best brains (i mean indian )to the space technology .

As long as students graduating from this premier institution don't end up serving in NASA, thsi is really a great great initiative.

Tanuj is right.Scientific R & D is the Way to go ,for the progress of the nation.We started by this after independence, some where in the middle we lost the track.I know Govt has its own problem for giving high salaries. But R & D has to be treated seperately like UK where scientists are treated equal to queen.More Percentage of GDP should be alloted to R & D. thank you

This is a very welcome development.

However if the purpose of the institute is to 'fill up' the shortage of brains, then I think that is not a good approach.

I bet if the salaries of science & research employees in govt sector are at least quadrupled, “then only� the brain-drain from these subjects will reduce.

You think of a scientist researching on AIDS be given lesser salary then a normal call-center executive – you will definitely ‘invite’ the researcher to either ‘leave’ India or ‘leave’ the research sector at all.

Why does everybody expect social-activism and deliveries from such ‘brains’?
