Mumbai, Feb 2 (ANI): Bollywood's ace music director Bappi Lahiri has said he is planning a music album on slum kids in the city.
Four songs of the album, 'Slum Stars' have been recorded while work was in progressing on six to seven more tracks.
Lahiri said that through his international album, he wants to project the talent of slum children.
"We want to focus on the talent of the slum children and make their voice reach the whole world. They are so small, but they can sing. So I am planning to release this project internationally with Paul Davero, a disc jockey. He will do the remix and everything. We are jointly doing this thing. I believe that today India has a name. We will give a message that we are one," he told reporters here last evening.
The ace Bollywood music director said that there were no comparisons between his album and the Hollywood hit 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
Paul Davero, Disc jockey, who will be remixing the tracks, said that he enjoys composing music on slum kids.
"I came to Dharavi last year. I am doing same things, going around and making music with kids and hanging out with Dharavi," said Davero.
Slumdog Millionaire, which won the top prize at the Screen Actors Guild awards, has also received ten Oscar nominations. (ANI)
