Panaji, Jan 9 (IANS) A local magistrate Friday issued summons to controverisal Goa Tourism Minister Francisco alias Mickky Pacheco after his estranged wife filed a police complaint of harassment against him.
The Judicial Magistrate First Class Margao has summoned Mickky to appear in court on Jan 12, after the Block Development Officer (BDO) filed a Domestic Incident Report before the magistrate some days ago.
Sara Pacheco in her complaint filed before the BDO stated that Mickky had forced her out of her house and was harassing her.
'My husband, who was very good to me and was deeply in love with me, suddenly changed after he got elected as MLA and became minister in the year 2002. It is at this time that he began to stray and chase other women and accused me of being fat and ugly,' Sara had said in her complaint.
'I am now left penniless while my minister husband Mickky is solely enjoying the wealth that belongs jointly to both of us. He has now married Viola Rosaline Fernandes and has three children through her,' the complaint further states.
Speaking to reporters a couple of days ago, Mickky had dismissed accusations of bigamy levelled against him by his wife Sara.
'I can have as many women as I want, as long as I marry only one of them,' Mickky had said.
