Chandigarh, Dec 9 (IANS) The security advisor to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Reg Dickason reached here Tuesday and held a joint meeting with Chandigarh and Mohali police officials.

Dickason arrived here to inspect the security arrangements at Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium in Mohali for the second Test against England starting Dec 19.

'We apprised the England representative about the security arrangements made by both Chandigarh and Mohali police to ensure security of the players. We discussed some more things about the security arrangements that I cannot disclose right now,' S.S. Srivastava, Chandigarh's senior superintendent of police, told IANS.

The one-day series between India and England was cut short following the terror attacks on Mumbai and the England squad returned home after the last two ODIs were called off.

England returned for the first Test starting Thursday after the venue was changed from Mumbai to Chennai. The venue for the second Test, too, has been changed from Ahmedabad to Mohali. The ECB has cleared Chennai after assessment of security and will give a go-ahead for Mohali after inspection.

Hugh Morris, managing director of the ECB, and Sean Morris, chief executive officer of the Professional Cricketers' Association, will reach Chandigarh Wednesday morning to join Reg, said PCA spokesperson Sushil Kapoor.

'They will visit Chandigarh airport, Taj Hotel and then finally the PCA Stadium to observe the security measures. Then they hold a meeting with PCA officials Wednesday evening before taking the final decision.'
