BJP students's wing leader shot dead in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Oct 21 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) students' wing leader Dilip Rai was shot dead in Madhya Pradesh Damoh district, the police said Tuesday.

 

The police said the assailants shot dead Dilip Rai, who was district convenor of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, when he was returning home with his sister Kavita Rai late Monday evening.

 

 

Kavita, who is Damoh district BJP Mahila Morcha president, told media persons that the assailants wanted to kill her but her brother was killed as he tried to protect her.

 

 

The police have registered a case of murder under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code against Sanjay Sen and five others who opened fire on Rai and fled from the spot.
