Capital gets its third Trauma Care Center

The Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday inaugurated the third Trauma Care Center of the Capital at the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. The Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss and Smt. Panabaka Lakshmi, Minister of State (HFW) also graced the occasion.


Aspiring to make the capital an emerging medical tourism center; the chief minister cited the importance of quality and emergence medical services with all modern facilities. She also announced another two such medical services in near future at Lady Hardinge and Safdarjung Hospital.

Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss said that with the availability of all modern facilities and doctors belong to different specialities, this would be an important milestone and achievement of the hospital by providing immense benefit to trauma victims.

With this emergence system patients would be able to get quality medical services and that to round-the-clock for timely care. The hospital equipped with all latest and modern equipments of world standard will treat critically injured patients.

Considering Capital’s complex traffic structure with increasing number of vehicles, there has been a long need for such service center to take care of any emergency call to match the fast paced life of Delhi. Hence it becomes important to make available quality health care facility to serve a large magnitude of problem in the shape of gunshot injuries and those due to bomb blasts.

Despite being the capital of the nation, this one is only the third trauma center in New Delhi after Shushruta Trauma Centre near ISBT Kashmiri Gate and JPN Trauma Centre at AIIMS. The trauma centre has added another advantage to the Dr. R.M.L. Hospital spreading over an area of 25 acres. In addition, because of its strategic location the hospital with all laboratory and radiological investigation facilities will serve for the best purpose.

trauma centre system is very useful to the public . then this system is simmiller to foreginers system.so definatly india became the foregin standard.so i thanks to our health minister by vetri thirukumaran , studying pre hospital technician in JIPMER.
